Description

All seafarers employed or hired on board a ship must know the basic principles of fire prevention and fighting, as these are part of their comprehensive training; and will allow you to handle safety-related aspects with skill.

Knowing what to do, when to do it, and doing it well, saves a life; thus avoiding complications and minimizing fire risks. This being, clearly the essence of all seafarers who are on the high seas.

That is why the structure of the course has been developed, seeking that the participant is competent and has the proper aptitude to develop the skills and abilities and perform within their tasks and functions on board.The Fire Prevention and Fighting Course belongs to the minimum training requirements and basic safety instructions for all seafarers, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation VI / 1, Section A-VI / 1 and Table A- VI / 1-2 of the STCW'78 Convention as amended.
